welcome
Since Church Folk hit the bookstores in the summer of 2001, I have been blessed with a wonderful group of readers of all ages and from all walks of life. I always hoped that my books would be interesting, fun to read, and put a smile on someone's face. Whenever I have met some of you at readings, signings, and book club meetings, you have always been kind enough to tell me how my novels have done just that. Thank you, readers, for all of your support, prayers, warm wishes, hugs, and smiles. Keep me in your prayers as I continue to write more books. I hope you enjoy the website.
my writings
I am categorized as writing in the genre of Black Christian Fiction, which is relatively new, making it's mark in November 2000 when Victoria Christopher Murray's book, Temptation, was released, and increasing in popularity upon the release of Jacquelin Thomas' book, Singsation (April 2001), and then, Church Folk, in June of that year. Since that time, there has been a wonderful increase in novels about African American Christian Life and Culture. I am blessed to have been a part of this incredible endeavor early on, when this brand of contemporary black fiction made its way to the book stores
